Next to the lines of RVF are occasional Latin annotations either explaining some obscure passages or providing the date of Petrarch’s love for Laura (next to RVF 3.2 at fol. 1r: ‘dies ueneris su. in an[n]o d[omi]ni 1327 de mense aprilis’).
