Notes

The ms. may well be based on a printed edition of Petrarch’s poems, since the paratextual elements (including Dante, Cavalcanti, and Cino), the presence of specific Petrarchan disperse, and the running numbering on the recto and verso of the fols., correspond to what is usually included in many (mid-sixteenth-century) printed editions.
 
RVF 114 and 136-138 (at fols. 47r[=93] and 62r-62v[=123 and 124]) have been erased.
 
RVF has no signaled internal partition, but below RVF 263 (which occupies the upper half of fol. 98v[=196]), the copyist left a blank space and copied RVF 264 on the following fol.
