Fols. 157r-160r: a few Latin annotations (presumably by another hand of the same century) for Triumphus Amoris I. These notes provide information on named mythological and historical figures.
Two rectangular-box illuminations open the first and second section of the RVF (at fols. 17r and fol. 115r respectively). The former is inscribed in a floral architectural frame and shows Laura in the act of placing a laurel wreath upon Petrarch’s head; the latter shows Petrarch praying before Laura’s grave. At the bottom of fol. 17r is the Sforza family coat of arms. Each capitolo of the Triumphi is preceded by a rectangular-box illumination: Amoris (fol. 157r), Pudicitie (fol. 166v), Mortis (fol. 170v), Fame (fol. 177r), Temporis (fol. 191r): Eternitatis (fol. 194r); few maniculae. Additional rectangular-box illuminations open the sections of Serdini and Malatesti’s poems: at fol. 197r is rectangular-box illumination showing a hunting scene; at fol. 243r is a rectangular-box illumination showing the poet Malatesta Malatesti receiving a gift from a female figure (likely a personification of Fame); on right section of the illumination is the coat of arms of the Malatesti family.
