Notes

Scattered marginal annotations (by the same hand that transcribed the text of the Triumphi and some RVF sonnets e.g. 186) indicate names of classical authors or historical and mythological figures, or identify similes (‘comparatio’).

In the RVF index, the first lines of each stanza of RVF 366 are treated separately, thereby giving us 376 RVF poems in total.

Line 1 of RVF 1 is missing; some maniculae.
