fol. 1r: short note on Roman history in Latin by a different hand (<inc> Romulus postq[ua]m construxit; <exp> SpqR), followed by a tercet by a different hand (‘Despecto tempo in qua in la me mena | E’l mondo triste che non sa far altro | E in questo ciaschisun [sic] sua vita mena’) and by a bibliographical note about the ms. by an eighteenth-century hand (<inc> Questo comento sopra i Trionfi del Petrarca è il più copioso e pieno che vi ritrovi. Manca la prima carta. L’autore è senese; <exp> In Roma ai 20 Dicembre 1724. Così scrissi io Giusto Fontanini per comando del Sig[no]r Marchese Alessandro Gregorio Capponi, possessore del codice), and another bibliographical note by a nineteenth-century hand (‘Il commento è di Misser Bernardo Glicino, come si può conoscere confrontandolo colle molte edizioni, che ne sono state fatte. Notes

Scattered marginal and interlinear annotations by a different hand (see Vattasso 1909, 246), and not by the same hand as that of the rest of the ms. (as is claimed in Salvo Cozzo 1897, 247) either provide some supplementary passages or correct the exegetical text (above all in the first half of the ms.).
 
Original fol. 1 (presumably containing Ilicino’s dedicatory letter to Borso d’Este and the beginning of his commentary on Triumphus Amoris I) is missing and has been substituted by the present fol. 1.
