Sansovino’s annotations at the end of the volume include: 1) quotations of other authors, with a particular focus on classical authors, such as Horace and Vergil; 2) paraphrases or explanations of some passages; c) grammatical or semantic observations on the meaning of some words. These annotations only cover a selection of RVF poems.
