The sequence of commented RVF poems is disrupted due to the loss of a few fols. Albeit lacking of initial fols, this is one of the two ms. (the other is Florence, Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana, Strozzi 176) carrying the extended version of Filelfo’s commentary on RVF (up to RVF 136).
There are a few annotations by the same hand that transcribed the text between fols. 20r-24r and fols. 63v-66r, and these mostly copy the names of historical and mythological figures mentioned in the text, and, more rarely, provide a brief summary of the content of the commentary (e.g. discussing how theologians conceived divine grace, the copyist notes in the margin ‘Come teologi dicono esser quattro gratie’).
There is a running header in red ink for each RVF poem.
According to Ms.Cas. IV, 107, the copyist of this ms. is Francesco Filelfo given the similarity between this handwriting and that of Filelfo’s autograph ms. 415 of the Biblioteca Casanatense.
