There are two series of annotations: 1) concise marginal annotations in red ink by the same hand that transcribed the main text with references to mostly historical and mythological figures and to rhetorical devices (e.g. fol. 20r: ‘Comperatio [sic] pulcherrima’); 2) some longer interlinear and marginal annotations in Latin by another hand (still fifteenth-century) only for lines of Triumphus Amoris I (fols. 4r-6v). These notes are mostly explanatory: e.g. next to line 153 the annotator writes: ‘rapta ad inferos et filia fuit iouis et cereris’.
At fols. 90v-91r, RVF 136-138 are covered by another layer of paper.
Decorated initials in gold with floral decoration for Triumphus Amoris I and RVF 1 (at fols. 4r and 37r). At fol. 4r is a note of possession at the top of the page (‘Uberti Nobilis Joannis filii, no xxxxvi’); at fols 154r-155r: lines 105 and 120 of RVF 360 have been added by another hand; a few maniculae.
